Delete your Paya account

You can request deletion of your Paya account and associated personal data. This page explains how.

How to request deletion

  1. Email support@thesureplug.com from an address we can use to follow up.
  2. Use the subject line Paya account deletion.
  3. Include the phone number registered on your Paya account (required so we can identify the correct account).
  4. Optionally include your name and any wallet or purchase questions you want resolved before deletion.

What we delete

When deletion is completed, we remove or irreversibly anonymise:

  • Your profile details (name, email, phone, profile photo)
  • Sign-in credentials and session tokens
  • App account access for Paya

What we may retain

We may retain limited transaction and ledger records for a period required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or applicable law in Nigeria. Those records are restricted and not used for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

Before you delete

  • Spend or settle any wallet balance you still need.
  • Download or note any purchase history you want to keep.
  • Deletion cannot be undone once completed.
